libtaglib2.1-cil software package provides CLI library for accessing audio and video files metadata, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libtaglib2.1-cil
libtaglib2.1-cil is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libtaglib2.1-cil package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libtaglib2.1-cil *
You will get with libtaglib2.1-cil package name, version, architecture and description in a table
